Musical direction of choirs
Working with choirs gives me great enjoyment in every role I am in, as musical director, deputy director, pianist or as a member of the choir.
Musical Director
I work with a range of choirs, each of which is very different.
In each the main aim is to have fun and develop the skills of the members whilst singing beautiful music.
I work with them to develop a programme that fits their interests and gently stretches their skills. I use a mix of my own compositions and bespoke arrangements, plus commercial pieces.

Deputy Musical Director and Pianist
I love the collaborative nature of this role, where I am working in partnership with other musical directors. I am continuously growing as a musician and teacher by the opportunities these roles bring.
As pianist, it is also a pleasure to be able to enjoy the singing of the choir from a slightly removed position.
I am also a member of choirs for my own enjoyment of singing and have a great appreciation of the musical directors that that I sing for.
